DENVER, CO (February 24, 2009) - The Council will hold its quarterly board meeting at 1:30 pm on Friday, March 6 at the Denver Art Museum, Hamilton Building, Congdon Board Room, 100 W 14th Ave Pkwy, Denver, CO 80204. Council members will ratify Art in Public Places selection committee recommendations and a de-accession request and hear the presentation of the Listening Tour findings and discussion of potential FY09/10 program priorities and budget.

Optional At 8:00 a.m. we invite you to join us for Arts Advocacy Day. Participants from around Colorado will meet for coffee and a brief Advocacy 101 presentation at the Denver Art Museum’s Lower Level Classroom. Advocates will then head over to the capitol to hear music performances in the Rotunda and to meet with their elected representatives. Click here for invitation.
9:30 a.m. CCA At The Capitol Council members will meet in the Governor’s Conference Room for Council updates and to briefly discuss legislative issues impacting CCA.
10:30 a.m. Meet with your Legislators Observe House and Senate Sessions, meet briefly with your legislators and invite them to join us for lunch.
11:30–1:00 Lunch Walk back over to the Denver Art Museum, Lower Level Classroom, to rejoin Arts Advocacy Day participants. Luncheon presenters are Ken Turner from the Colorado Department of Education, Representative Don Marostica, and Dave Stewart from the Loveland Integrated School of the Arts.
